Company History

The Security industry in Southern California is a very competitive industry.  Over the last 10 years, it has gone through explosive levels of growth reaching multi-billion dollar levels.  Currently in the San Diego area, there are some 150 companies.  Some are local, some are regional, and some are nationwide.  Most provide a number of services such as armed or unarmed guards.  Rarely do you find a company that is concerned about your needs, finding the right Agent for your property, and concerned about the safety of employees and residents alike.  EPA K-9 gets involved with the community.  We meet with local police agencies, community leaders, and management in order to solve security issues.

From the beginning, EPA K-9 set out to be different from the others.  EPA K-9 looked at how other companies treated their clients, how the employees acted and felt about management, and how they were treated.  The President of EPA K-9 & Investigative Services, Inc. set up benchmark systems allowing EPA K-9 to offer a full range of security services.  Therefore, EPA K-9 tailors special programs to meet the client’s needs and in many cases, exceeds them.  These programs have enabled EPA K-9 to grow and become a leader in providing security services that are unparalleled.

EPA K-9 searches the community for the top agents in the industry.  We look for qualities that allow them to stand out above the rest.  EPA K-9’s ridged employment process, extensive background checks, and skills testing, results in top agents in the field.  EPA K-9 then looks into the compatibility and bonding for a specific property ensuring that the match is correct for the relationship.  In addition, EPA K-9 takes care of their employees.  We promote from within, conduct ongoing training classes, and maintain communication with each agent.  The end result is an agent excited, motivated and trained for your property, your resident’s safety, and your peace of mind.
